INNERVIEW - PILOT

AEY Productions are currently seeking 3 lead and 6 supporting actors for upcoming project called Innerview - a pilot episode for series based on intelligence, strategic thinking and problem solving. It also, includes themes of artificial intelligence, poker and cryptocurrency.

Our main goal is to pitch this pilot episode to TV and internet based channels. Also, we will be submitting the pilot to multiple moving image, TV and Film festivals in the UK, Europe and America.

GENERAL DETAILS

Synopsis:

The year is 2021. Major developments in new technologies, cryptocurrency, and artificial intelligence has created an opportunity that mega corporation D&Trust has taken advantage of.

With massive funds and great resources, their power and influences grow to a dangerous level – too big for the government to control.

Simon Sleeth, an ambitious poker player, cryptocurrency investor and strategic thinking coach has been recruited by a British Intelligence agency MI5 to infiltrate the secretive corporation D&Trust.

As he becomes a double agent, he discovers secrets in the company, government and the MI5.

Pilot episode plotline:

After months of preparation it is time for Simon’s interview. He finds himself at a poker table competing against other talented people for the position. He needs to use his strategic thinking skills to beat them and get the job.

Shooting dates: Between the 5th and the 25th of March, 2018. We are looking at 8 shooting days in total.

Shooting locations: Within and around Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK.

Shooting Equipment: Industry standard filming, lighting and sound recording equipment including a BlackMagic URSA Mini 4K Camera operated by experienced and highly motivated crew members.

Cocky, confident, living of poker and investing in cryptocurrency, sometimes too confident, loves problem solving, likes unconventional solutions, left school early. He has been recruited to be an undercover secret service agent, since young age he has been trained to be an expert in problem solving (Sudoku, Rubik’s cube, pixel logic, chess, poker, board games etc.) He analyses his every decision based on pros and cons of the outcome.
He is a logic/problem solving/strategic thinking teacher to young people. He teaches them the most efficient way to beat logic games and make the best decisions based on the risk vs. reward scheme. He starts with teaching them basic solving of optimal game theory in the game tic tac toe and then goes to the harder games.

- His attention is heavily drawn into small, potentially unimportant details that can distract him from the main objective.
- Treats someone like an idiot after they make one mistake and finds it hard to adapt to people changing. (loser once, loser forever)
- Will only accept a draw if he is heavily losing.
- Will try to find a best solution even to the smallest problems.

Mia is Simon’s hander at MI5. She is his contact at the secret service agency. She has been assigned to him by MI5 and became his unofficial girlfriend while he was undercover. She is loyal to MI5 and passes on all the information to Simon watching out for him at the same time. Strictly follows all the rules as she has a promising career in the ss.

He meets and greets Simon at the interview. He is the one who deals the cards at the poker table. He is the face of the company for those being interviewed but does not actually hold an important role in the company and it is Madison Grant that makes the recruitment decisions. He is smartly dressed.

He seems not to know the rules of poker very well. Simon suspects she might be pretending so she could benefit from other players trying to run her over. At the end of the film she is the one to come through the door and talk with him and tell him they knew about him being undercover the whole time.

In 2009 he began heavily investing in cryptocurrency and recruited much younger but eager German high stakes poker player Florian Gilger and another English high-stakes pro Damien McFarland. He is old fashioned and sophisticated but understands the power of the young generation. He is great at analysing risks and running the company.
