2005 tape odyssey is a multi camera show, about 4 people who work in a VHS store.

Abi is new to the store, the start of the show is her getting the job as an unpaid intern at the store. She is the most talented person at the store and is working with Geff, the older manager of the store who no one knows where he got the money to keep the store running from and has a mysterious past. She also works with Richard and Peter, Richard tries everything in his power not to work and Peter was born in the store and doesn’t know anything but tv and film references. Together they have to keep the store running and operational despite no one using or caring about VHS tapes.

Abi
Strong willed person straight out of university desperately looking for work experience in a business role. Compared to the rest of the characters she is career focused and is more professional than the rest. (Characters age is 21)

Peter
Someone who basically lives in the shop, he is not a bright person however he does have a genius amount of knowledge for TV and film. Often the punch lines to peoples jokes and is the only person who wants the store to stay open because he basically lives there and wouldn’t have anything else to do otherwise. Richard
Richard is probably the smartest person who works at the store however he is incredibly unmotivated to do any work. He honestly prefers the store to be empty as it means he doesn’t have to do any work. (Characters age is 23)

Geff
Geff is older than everyone else in the store, he maintains ownership of the shop however doesn’t do much around the store. He has quite the old fashioned mind his love for VHS might be out of the fondness of memories that they bring to him, or out of a genuine belief that they are going to be around forever unlike DVD’s and online services. The idea of where he gets the money for the store is a mystery and Geff has a mysterious background of no one knowing how he got the store to begin with.
