Nobody tells stories like The York Dungeon – exciting, scary and funny! With a full cast of brilliant actors, authentic sets and special effects, we take guests on a unique thrill-filled journey through 2000 years of York’s murky past. We are now currently recruiting Actors for our up and coming Halloween Season.

About the role

Reporting to the Performance Supervisor, responsibilities will include performing shows to the highest standard in line with Dungeon Brand Guidelines, focusing on the visitor and the experience at all times. You must be flexible with your working hours, and available between 2nd October – 2nd November

About you

Candidates interested in this unique and unusual role will have a performing arts/drama qualification at College level or above, an understanding of various performance styles, character building & development and improvisation skills. Previous experience in live theatrical performance, working with the public and excellent customer service skills are essential. Versatility is a must!!

Open Auditions will be held from 10am-1pm and 1.45pm-4pm on Saturday 26th September at The Kuda Bar and Club in York.
If you think you have what it takes, please come prepared with a 3 minute audition piece that showcases your storytelling, comedic and scary talent. Please also remember to bring along your Proof Of Right to work in the UK (that’s right, even Plague Servants need the boring paperwork)
If you are successful, you will be required to attend a workshop at 4.30pm
