Details:
Thomas is the son of a wealthy businessman. Although he isn’t so rich himself, he has a lot of power in the area due to his parents. This makes him a feared figure. When Joe Chambers announces that he wants to introduce major Inheritance Tax into Washington, Thomas is furious, and wants Joe ruined. Thomas needs to feel ruthless in the film, so that the audience will oppose him.
