Title: The Interview
Synopsis: The big interview is tomorrow and they're all prepared. Alarm set, briefcase packed and clothes all laid out. Nothing could go wrong.
This is a short film about a character who is all set for an interview for their dream job, all, they have to do, is get there. However, it turns out being extremely organised doesn't always work in your favour. Their alarm ends up not going off, their bike breaks, they miss the only bus and ruin their suit. Nothing is going right. The only thing, keeping them going, is the slight chance they might actually make it.
Eventually, they arrive at the office block with a few minutes to spare. They sit in the waiting room, waiting to be invited in. A few minutes pass, no one comes for them. They grab their phone and just as they go to unlock it they see the date. The interview is actually tomorrow.
The piece aims to be highly visual and fast paced. It will have comedic elements as well as being dramatic.
We are open to both female and male actors playing the part.
The character needs to appear highly organised and they enjoy being in control. They are the type of person who always has to be right and love to keep up good appearances. They get stressed easily and are attentive to every little detail.
I understand that this is short notice but if anyone is willing to help we would be extremely grateful.
