Actor, Actress and 'Creature' sought for brutal, exceedingly ambitious short film from a horror feature director with one film released worldwide and another in the works. The director's films have had close to 1,000 festival screenings worldwide, been reviewed in national press and won several awards. We expect this to be just as successful and we will push it to go far.

The short will be shot over two nights on Feb 20th & 21st (ending at dawn on the 22nd). A large portion of the action happens up a tree (and falling from it). This will be a tiring, difficult and cold outdoor shoot which will push everyone physically and emotionally.

With that in mind, we are looking for real troopers, people who give it their all without complaining and are really willing to go the extra mile.

All cast MUST NOT be afraid of heights and those with climbing experience will be most welcome to apply, although this is not essential.

The shoot will be supervised by a professional stunt crew and safety is paramount: this will be difficult, but never dangerous.

LUCY: 20s, a lovely girl under too much make-up. Lucy comes across as naïve, the kind of girl who believes what anyone says, particularly if it's a handsome man. The other side to her is one of real pragmatism, something she chooses to downplay, or simply hide, in favour of projecting a dumber side, as it suits her being able to hide behind such a facade. She's a party girl with a real vulnerable side and a completely honest nature. 

JAKE: 20s. He's a real stunner, a perfect physical specimen with bewitching eyes, fit body,  infectious smile. Jake has two sides, though: the obviously handsome charmer, but also a darker side which carries a lot of anger - things can turn very sour when he doesn't get his way. At his core, though, he is a decent man. 

CREATURE: Slim and lithe. Muscular like a dancer rather than a body builder. Average height.

Locations have not been finalised but will likely be in Derbyshire.

This film is not funded, so while we can cover expenses and feed you, unfortunately we cannot pay. If you think you would be perfect for the role but cannot work without pay, please state that when applying and let us know what you would accept.
