Physical appearance: Slightly overweight, but not obese (as a guide: women size 14-16, men waist size 34-38 inches)

N.B. Actors for the Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and Polish speaking roles must also be able to read the language

Requirements:
Learn lines from a pre-written script (no improvisation allowed) and perform with the aid of an autocue
Fluent, confident speech
Very clear pronunciation of words, including medical terms
Ability to appear natural in front of camera
Professional appearance (i.e. believable as healthcare professionals)

Characteristics:
The actors will be reciting a script explaining to patients about type 2 Diabetes. Therefore they need to be able to communicate with a certain amount of authority and come across as reliable, as well as knowledgeable.
They should also appear reassuring, communicative, and accessible. They are here to help the patient understand a serious condition, and as they will break some bad news they should be able to appear comforting and understanding when necessary.

Body language:
Most of the filming will be traditional, camera-facing style, and the actor will be using a natural / professional tone as above.
The actors will be filmed in front a white/green screen and the video will then be edited into an animated piece. In some parts of the animation the actor may be "interacting" with animated elements.
