At the NFTS we are creating a 30 second commercial for the British Tinnitus Association and we are looking for a lead male actor, mid to late 30s.

The lead actor needs to give great performances of both subtle and more obvious emotions. He is a man that looks back on some moments in his life when he was in a dark place while suffering Tinnitus, and now reflects on how his life has improved greatly since getting help from the charity.

The lead actor needs to have a great voice, as he is the main narrator of the story. If he is a VO actor it would be a big plus as the commercial is all VO led by him.

The character is probably a man that works in the creative industries or services, where a more informal look is fine - not perfectly shaved or super slick haircut.
Preferably his look can express some vulnerability, showing that he is a normal person with his flaws.

Given a film tone that is born from the real world, I believe having natural looking people is our best bet - no need to have ridiculously handsome perfect-shaped actors or eccentric looking characters. Good-looking is good but my preference will be in finding the right actor who can weight in the story and emotions in the right way rather than looking at their physicality.

The shoot will likely take place in June, TBC - all depending on latest COVID situation and social distancing rules.

1 day of shoot - £87.20 national minimum wage pay and travel and food expenses covered.

Shoot to take place in Beaconsfield/High Wycombe area.
