Hello my name is Alex, My group and I are students from the University of Wolverhampton looking for actors/actresses for a short 6- 8 minute short film. This film is about a mother and father who discover that their son is being bullied. The film will explore how the family comes to terms with it and how they progress and deal with the situation. We will be shooting in the Wolverhampton area unfortunately due to us being students we cannot offer any money however we can pay for travel and food will be covered.

We are looking for two Caucasian actors and one Caucasian actress, If you feel that you can play this role, we would like to ask you to perform a piece of our script. Video quality is not important; it could be done via your mobile phone. We will only be looking at the quality of the acting. I will be able to send you more details about the production including rehearsals prior to the filming dates!

Steven (In a humoristic, cheeky mood)

STEVEN
Chris eat your food son, if you
don't eat up you'll never be big
and strong like your daddy

STEVEN
Ohhh I get it, ohhh I understand
now ahaha...

Steven wipes his mouth with a tissue. Chris shows a sign
of relief and smiles.

STEVEN
Of course I do, it's a girl
right? you want her, she doesn't
want you. Don't worry I'm happy
to help you. isn't that right
honey

Steven looks at Rebecca and gives her nudge

Chris

CHRIS
No dad! I'm, I'm...I'm busy!

CHRIS
NO! I'm not wearing anything

CHRIS
(Hesitantly)
There is this guy at school called Patrick who picked on me when I was sitting having my lunch. When I tried to defend myself his friends ganged up on me and beat me up.

Rebecca
This extract is about rebecca defending her son no matter what as she loves him dearly, so this response is almost in a fiery manner toward the husband who has jokingly mocked the son.

REBECCA
Look at what you've done! You
better fix this...If you can't
respect your son, how do you
expect anyone else too?
