I am looking for 1 female and 1 male actor, aged between 18 to 28 for silent short film based on love and fantasy concept. Shoot is based in Nottingham city center area.

Plot and synopsis as below.


Plot

The girl, Emily is stuck in her dead end job and believes she would never truly be happy. The boy, John is single and lonely. One day they happen to meet by a small but interesting incident.

Synopsis

Emily, a young girl is stuck in her dead end job. She believes she would never truly be happy. Reason behind her depression is, her boring routine and recent break up with her boyfriend. One day she meets John by accident.

Emily goes for shopping in small clothing & accessory shop. While shopping, she notices a random bloke is staring at her. She ignores him and goes towards checkout to pay for the shopping. Till operator keeps staring and smiling at her. She tries not look at him and picks up a pair of similar looking gift bags. Till operator helps Emily to separate those bags from each other. He puts her shopping in one bag and gives receipt in her hands. Emily leaves the shop.

John is also in the same shop. He is staring at a couple standing next to him, holding each other’s hands. He turns his head slowly and realizes another girl is looking at him. He gets embarrassed and moves towards checkout to pay for his shopping. On checkout, he reads ‘No bags provided’ board. He quickly grabs the gift bag kept near till machine & comes out from shop.

At home, Emily tries to concentrate on work but fails. She remembers her shopping she did in the morning. She walks towards shopping bag and put hand in it to grab her item. She looks very confused. Something else comes out from that bag. She realizes that its not her shopping.

Similar incident happens at John’s place. John put his hand in bag and finds it is not what he paid for. Both looks confused.

Emily sighs and drops that item back into the bag. And it disappears quickly. She looks very surprised and shocked. She takes a look on her table. She finds a marker pen and drops into that bag again. Pen disappears too.

On other side, John looks scared and confused by receiving a pen from his shopping bag. He grabs his hankie and drops it into bag. Emily receives that hankie.

Emily thinks for a moment. She finds a sticky note pad. She quickly writes ‘who’s this?’ on a note and drops it into the bag. John looks interested in what’s coming up next. John receives that note. He replies her back/ She smiles and drops another note into bag, written ‘Emily’ on it. John receives that note.

She starts smiling and starts dreaming, who he might be, how would he look. She stands in front of mirror and have a look at herself smiling. By the time, she receives another note asking ‘You still there?’ Emily keeps on smiling. Drops another note into bag.

A day goes by. Conversation keeps on going. In the morning, She is sitting in between loads of notes. John writes to Emily ‘ Shall we meet?’ He receives a note saying ‘ what took you so long to ask this?’ John looks more than happy. She grabs gift bag and gives a kiss. Next moment, she starts dancing holding that bag. Suddenly while dancing, handle of bag stucks on corner of table and bag rips apart.

Emily is shocked and tries to drop different items into bag. Everything stays into bag and does not disappear. She curses herself for being careless. She takes that bag and starts running towards the store where she bought that bag. She reaches there and finds store is closed.

Emily feels very sad. She walks few steps looking down in sadness and sits on a bench with torn bag. She turns her head and finds a boy sitting with similar bag on next bench. She gets up and smiles at him with joy. She realizes he is the same person she’s been talking through the help of the bag. She gets up and come closer to John. Both keep looking into each other’s eyes with smile.
