About Me

Enthusiastic and energetic Dutch 47 year old (I've lived in the UK for 33 years now, so no trace of a funny accent!), keen to venture into the extras business; I have always been fascinated by film and I am patient and realistic. I am also extremely reliable and always on time. I figure these are essential qualities for and extra.

I have worked in many areas including adventure travel, advertising sales, and accountancy; this just means I get on with most people very quickly and I am adaptable to most new situations.

My current job is in the emergency department working with victims of domestic violence.

Some modelling experience a long time ago (in the 80's) in Taiwan; both catwalk and catalogue. Nothing since then, but keen to learn!

General Experience

As a student, ie some time ago, I worked as a model in Taiwan both on the catwalk and for catalogue work.

I also had some small parts in student productions at university including the part of Fairy in Midsomernight's Dream. This was some 30 years ago!

I am now a qualified midwife and health visitor looking for work as an extra. I am a keen learner!

Qualifications & Training

Degree in mandarin Chinese and midwifery/ health visiting/ public health, so can do things like deliver a baby and take blood and suture!

I also speak many languages, some more fluently than others. I am bilingual in English and Dutch, I speak French and also some Nepali and Mandarin Chinese with limited German.

Various health related skills from suturing to taking blood to delivering a baby and helping with breastfeeding.

My language skills as above.

I can play various instruments including the flute (grade 6) and some piano (grade 5).

I can tap dance a little.

I am good at various sports and can play icehockey (yes I can skate as well), row, and ride horses. I can also play tennis and swim.

I can also drive cars to an advanced level.

Interests & Hobbies

I am a linguist and enjoy sports. I love all sorts of music. The above skills demonstrate what I am good at!

I enjoy film and theatre, concerts, eating out and meeting new people through travelling, both nationally and internationally.

I currently work 4 days per week with various days off and I have my own transport.
