About Me
I started a career in acting, teaching drama and theatre in education. As arts funding became scarcer and my family more immanent I changed tack. My latter theatre projects had environmental themes and as one thing lead to another, I worked with Avon Friends of the Earth running recycling collections in Bristol and Bath and have more recently worked as a Senior Consultant with Resource Futures.
I have enjoyed working in the environmental field and have presented work and chaired conference sessions and debates with leading figures in the field including government ministers.
During this time I have been involved with our local amateur theatre group, acting and directing. I have enjoyed playing a number of leading roles in a variety of genres spanning: modern, melodrama, Shakespeare and pantomime.
I want to get back into professional acting, and do what I love doing well. I have attended various short courses with Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and Engage at Theatre Royal Bath and am currently attending a one year part time course at The Bristol Actors Academy based at the BOV Theatre School
I live with my wife, Jane in the village of Paulton near Bath. I have two sons Patrick and Peter now 23 and 20 graduated, fledged and making their own way in life and I am now better able to manage the financial uncertainties of the actor's life.
