About Me
For me performing is a release and allows me to not only express emotions, but gives me the opportunity to build on my skills and constantly improve my abilities. One particular incident which it has helped me overcome is a spine condition which I have had major surgery for, meaning I not only had to learn to walk again but regain my movement and dance for my desired career in performance. I believe that theatre has the power to change the world and what we do with this power is our responsibility whether that be on stage or screen.

General Experience
From a very young age I have been in the acting world, being in several acting workshops and productions even as a child with the Wintergarden Theatre Eastbourne, Eastbourne's Operatic and Dramatic Society and the National Youth Music Theatre. My vocal abilities are a particular area which I constantly strive to improve not just through grades, with my ABRSM Grade 8, but through being part of several choirs such as East Sussex Music Service Junior and Senior Choir and East 15 Acting School’s choir. I have been in bands from a very young age including one in which I was able to tour the UK and have previously used my vocal knowledge to teach at The Performance Factory and Sussex Rocks Summer School.
Performance has also aided me in several other areas such as my confidence and speaking skills, giving presentations at prestigious events, such as Clarence House 'Start', meetings with the Duchess of Cornwall and David Attenborough by invitation for Environmental Sustainability and have been involved in television appearances for the BBC and Teachers TV.
I feel theatre should have a purpose whether that be to entertain, to inform or completely change the way we think about something which is why I feel it is so powerful which is why I volunteered as a Drama Club staff member for just under 2 years, became a personal assistant for learning disabilities using performance to enhance speech abilities and used what I have learnt to create an impact to wider audiences such as the 'Hitting Home Project' which dealt with the issue of Domestic Abuse in which I wrote and performed music but also devised several drama pieces and choreographed a dance piece for as alternative ways to convey information and emotion.
In more recent years I have been very focused in my education, being a full time performing arts student for 3 years at college studying Brecht, Artaud and Stanislavski but also creating own devised work around the work of Frantic Assembly and DV8. My final year had a continued focus in improving my dance abilities throughout my course with external ballet and tap basics.
I have a keen passion for performance which is why alongside this I also took part in workshops ran by Rambert Dance Company, competed twice as part of a dance group for Rock Challenge, have auditioned and gained parts for 3 local amateur Musical Theatre productions including the main part for 'Beauty and The Beast' but also spent my Summer at West End stage rehearsing at Guildhall stepping onto the West End stage of Her Majesty's Royal Theatre and all the fond memories from that experience have made me more determined than ever that this is the career for me.
I have spent the past year studying full time at East 15 Acting School on the BA World Performance Course; receiving a First for my first year, learning varying Western Theatre skills such as voice, articulation received pronunciation and character work (both with and without neutral mask) using the work of Grotowski and Meyerhold’s Biomechanics but also World Theatre skills including Bunraku Puppetry, Balinese dance and mask, African Dance, Kechak and Brazilian Capoeira. Outside of this I have enjoyed furthering my music skills with composing performances in various world music genre’s, furthering my instrumental abilities and have spent a year training towards Stilt Walking Diploma with the company StiltsPro.
