I worked as a lead role in a bid for the olympics in 2016 to present 3 on 3 basketball! i have not had much experiance but im willing to get stuck and learn about this industry!!

Relevant Skills

I am currently working as a Sports Coach mentor at Haybrook College with socially challenged children. My position there is as a sports coach mentor and includes helping them with communication skills, confidence building and binaural problems. I feel that my easy going manor makes the children feel more at ease around me although they also know that I am a figure of authority. I really enjoy the sports side of this work as this is my forte and I feel that I connect more easily with them in this environment.

Within Haybrook College I can effectively communicate with children, young people, colleagues, parents and carers. I can recognise and respect the contribution that colleagues, parent and carers can make to the development and well being of young people and to raising their levels of attainment. For example, at the beginning of each term we have a meeting with the parents and young people relating to their target setting. I am able to communicate and show parents what the young person has currently achieved and set reasonable targets for the next term.

I have experience within the sports coaching/development capacity as I have coached in multi sports camp and basketball sessions around my borough. I have organised various fitness and sporting activities during half term and summer holidays.

Previously I have worked for Excellence sports coaching agency were we are sent out to provide a coaching service to the local areas. Currently I also work for slough borough council where I have to organise sports activities for schools and youth services. Last year I coached tenants group called genesis housing in a basketball tournament which consists of other housing groups.

Interests & Hobbies

Playing and watching Basketball and Football, Reading, and all aspects of music, travelling and socialising with friends.
